After the Hound survived the Battle of Winterfell in Game of Thrones season 8 episode 3, we saw him in Game of Thrones season 8 episode 4 refusing or unable to enjoy the big victory over the Night King. When we combine Sandor Clegane's character arc with what we know about his character from A Song of Ice and Fire, we start to see a picture of a depressed individual with a deep mistrust of people.
