After the sad demise of one of my large lead-acid batteries (see ARRL Bunker video: youtu.be/rQ-LfqX_Ets), I finally decided to purchase a new LiFoPO4 battery. I'd been mulling this over for a while as I had voltage drop issues with my ageing lead-acids now they were 3-4 years old. This meant the FTDX10 would shut-down mid-QSO in a contest, which clearly wasn't good.
After much research I went for a Fogstar battery. I don't think Fogstar supply to the USA, but I am sure there are other suppliers of guaranteed Grade A cells to be found. #fogstardrift

In this second video I put the battery to the test while working portable in three contests with amazing results.
ps. In the equipment comparison at the end, I forgot to include the 2x PSUs need for the generator setup.
