Virtua Racing for the Sega Saturn released and developed in 1995 by Time Warner Interactive.
The Mega Drive and 32X versions of Virtua Racing were developed by Am2 and no part of those games were used by Time Warner to develop the Saturn version. The handling of the cars are completely different and overall a much easier game. the game also has a higher framerate making it easier to judge the corners at speed. The Saturn version has 10 tracks which are accessible in Practice and Grand-Prix modes. Arcade mode is just the original 3 tracks with the Formula car and nothing is unlocked for finishing it.
In this longplay I first show off Arcade mode follower by Grand-prix mode. GP mode is the main bulk at takes a long time to complete as you progress through the games 5 vehicles playing on the available tracks in any order. I play on Ace difficulty as I didnt want to chance anything but the best ending after all this effort. There are no replays shown in the video as there was an emu bug that caused the cd audio to skip so Ive not shown them. After all is said and done the final animation appears but there is no apparent credit role in the game. Having to complete all 10 tracks once the formula is unlocked felt like a grind.

Putty Squad has an interesting history. Originally developed for the Amiga 1200, PC, Snes and megadrive, only the snes version saw a release in 1994. The Megadrive version was never finished and exists today as a protype release. The Amiga version was locked away in a vault for decades and freely released by System3 later in 2013. I guess System3 then had the eureka moment of developing a version of the game for all the current consoles of the time and here we have the 3DS game.
The game has been recorded in Citra and any bugs noticed may be the emulation or could actually be genuine game bugs. There is some strange tearing in the background of some levels and the map screen has some issues. World 7 secret levels seem to be in the wrong place on the map. When using uncle Teds to distract the enemy, the game music no longer plays after teds music runs out.
I play through the main Marathon mode which is the natural progression of the game showing all levels including secret levels to the end of the game. I also collect all stars and stickers along the way. All the remaining stickers require playing through challenge mode which would require multiple plays of each level with the aim of meeting specific requirements. I show those at the end of the video.
After playing earlier releases of the game I find this one quite difficult. Every button has an action assigned and Im often hitting the wrong function. Also special weapons require using the touch screen to activate them which requires me taking my hand off the main controls which can cause me some problems when the enemies are close by.

A second download has been attached. This is a Crosseye 3D viewable version. It can be played on a 3DTV or Headset with suitable software such as DeoVR or Bigscreen depending if the video is Full or Half sidebyside 3D and making use of the SWAP L/R function.
