I started putting together my family home movies that began in 1930 when my Grandfather Samuel Gallen bought a 16mm Projectors, editing system and Camera to document his family and friends in Brooklyn, and especially his Twin Boys Norman and Gilbert. I'm basically the last of the Gallen Family who remember the names of the people in the films, and in this version I added their names by each of the people, so other members of the family will no who they are.
In this reel of 16mm home movies my Grandfather Samuel Gallen and my Grandmother Clara traveled to by ship (PMS MAURITANIA ) to St. Thomas Virgin Island, La Guaira Venezuela, Panama City, Kingston Jamaica, Havana Cuba, Palm Beach Florida and Miami. Joining them in Miami was Samuel's Brothers with their wives. Morris Gallen & wife Jeanette and Milton and his wife Mildred.

This is footage shot in the 1960's when my father Norman was all ready shooting 16mm home movies, and was visiting his brother who was living in Canada.
I'm basically the last of the Gallen Family who remember the names of the people in the films, and in this version I added their names by each of the people, so other members of the family will know who they are.
Notes on the ship they were on: RMS Mauretania was a British ocean liner that operated from 1939 to 1965. The ship was launched on 28 July 1938 at the Cammell Laird yard in Birkenhead, England, and was completed in May 1939. She was one of the first ships built for the newly formed Cunard-White Star company following the merger in April 1934 of the Cunard and White Star Line
