The RPSI at Whitehead has been long established as one of the great preservation societies in Ireland operating from their base in Whitehead for over 65 years. Recently, the society has opened a brand new museum allowing the public a glimpse behind the shed doors of the work being carried out by its ranks of volunteers. The tour includes a walk through two of the original buildings, viewing galleries of the workshops, casting room and coach shed, a look inside the signal box and the newly installed turntable. It really was an informative and fun day out for the whole family. I hope you enjoy this short video capturing our visit.
