Gabriel Rivera is a fashion portrait photographer based in Tampa Bay, FL. At the time, while living in Miami, I was getting to know South Florida photographers. I found Gabriel's work via Twitter (@visualsbygabe) His work stood out to me because of his use color and compositing. He depicts his models in surreal scenery with a dream-like aesthetic. I admire is his ambitious attitude as a self-taught photographer.
Editing this video now after 6 months was a good teachable moment to see where I can image as a filmmaker. Starting the technical improvements, the handheld camera moment DOES NOT WORK will the IBIS for anamorphic is on, it needs to be OFF. There were so many good shots that just looked like jello. Nailing my exposure with VLOG has improved up until this date in comparison to what I filmed. Lastly, grading, it's such a foreign language but I enjoy the challenge. It hard for me to keep patient and stay consistent frame by frame. But overall I've glad it's finished.
