Police Officers failed Gabby by not following the rules of the law! I realize that police aren’t experts in mental health or DV, but they ARE trained to handle these situations.
This should’ve been easy peasy for these officers. They had knowledge of the laws & why the laws are written in the way that they are, but STILL made the worst decisions that they could’ve possibly made.
IMO They both should’ve been arrested. One witness saw Gabby h!tting Brian. The other witness saw Brian h!tting Gabby. Brian & Gabby both had injuries on their faces & arms.
Why did these officers only acknowledge Brian’s injuries?? Why did they only hear what they wanted to hear? 😔 I really hope that they’ve learned from this & DO BETTER next time!
