WTHR | G4 storm likely to bring the northern lights to Indiana tonight @WTHR13News | Uploaded October 2024 | Updated October 2024, 1 week ago.
The chance for seeing the northern lights is possible all the way south to Tennessee and Arkansas tonight. That means Indiana has a decent probability of seeing some northern lights tonight, with a camera. The farther north you go, the more vibrant the display may be.

NOAA has issued a G4 storm watch for tonight. Typically we get a lot of northern lights reports near and north of I-70 during a G4 storm. Southern Indiana becomes a bit more rare, but they will still be possibly seen, especially if you have a DSLR camera and can lengthen your long-exposure.
