PocketnowAround here, we're no strangers to wrist-worn smart devices. From bare-bones Bluetooth sport watches to full-on smartphones condensed to wearable size, we've seen them all.
Problem is, we haven't been all that impressed by what we've seen. Whether by halfhearted design or a misguided quest for all-encompassing functionality, most of the intelligent watches we've strapped on have very quickly found themselves retired to the novelty drawer.
Last year, a company named Pebble -formerly Allerta- burst onto the scene with aspirations to change all that. Pebble's halo product: an e-paper-based smart watch built around a very small, very simple feature set. The small outfit raised a record amount of crowdfunding money -over $10 million- on Kickstarter, and quickly became the darling of the tech media. Indeed, I penned two separate editorials in the months between Pebble's announcement and its release, explaining why I'd ordered one of the little devices and then describing how Pebble and Kickstarter were changing how manufacturers and consumers communicate.
It was a long and drawn-out wait, but last week, my very own Kickstarter-edition Pebble finally arrived. I charged it up, paired it to my smartphone, and slapped it on my wrist - where it has remained ever since. For the past week, I've lived the life of a smart watch user. How's that different from the daily drudgery of a dumbwatch owner? Watch the video above to find out.

PocketNow youtube.com/pocketnowSamsung Galaxy Book4 Pro 360 - Intel, CoPilot AI, S Pen and More 🤔Pocketnow2024-05-24 | You know what my biggest problem is with apparent iteration? When companies bring major changes to a product, but since it looks the same as last year, you judge a book by its cover.
This is the Galaxy Book4 Pro 360, what Samsung calls as their most powerful 2-in-1 laptop made to move with you, and what I'm gonna call a product that's so much better than before, that I wish there was something visual to help me convey my point. At a time when Apple is just killing it with its MacBooks and M Chips, it's easy to lose sight of all the efforts its competitors are doing to catch up. I'm Jaime Rivera with Pocketnow, and it's time for our extended review
Graphics provided by: Motionvfx.comMicrosoft’s PC Re-Invention, What We Really ThinkPocketnow2024-05-22 | AI, AI.. And oh, did I also say AI? I think at this point, the whole concept of Artificial Intelligence has become a bit much. Google repeated it 120 times at IO, Apple also did a good amount at their recent iPad event, but props where props is due, the company that truly made it a buzzword is Microsoft with their Open AI collaboration. Clearly the guys at Redmond are on a mission to ensure they remain on-top in the trend, and Microsoft's Build 2024 keynote wasn't just about the theory, but instead about how they're planning to marry software with powerful hardware. Yes, there's a lot that you can already do with your current computers, but let's just say, the new computers that are coming will help you do so much more. I'm Jaime Rivera with Pocketnow and it's time for another deep dive into what we've learned, and why you should care.
Graphics provided by: Motionvfx.comApple’s iPad Pro and iPad Air 2024 - Wait for it!Pocketnow2024-04-28 | I know, I've been doing the math too. It's been more than 500 days since we've received new iPads and your guess is as good as mine as to why. What was once Apple's darling and actually Steve Jobs' final appearance on stage hasn't gone all too well ever since. That boom tables saw earlier last decade hasn't really recovered, and it might just be because there's a need for some more innovation. Yes, iPads are so powerful today that your MacBook Pro is now powered on its guts, but you can't deny their form has determined their function, regardless of how powerful, and that hasn't played in their favor. Maybe not launching iPads all through 2023 helped Apple go back to the drawing board? Only one way to find out. I'm Jaime Rivera with Pocketnow and it's time for another Deep Dive.

It's no secret that even if all companies need the bragging rights of a flagship, the best sellers are always the mid-rangers. For Samsung it's the A series, for Apple it's the base models. The Pixel A has always been different, though. It's always been priced as more of an entry-level phone than a mid-ranger, and surely cutting some corners in the hardware, but then pushing down the flagship features into a more affordable price-range. It's why it's always been so popular.. But, in the past. The fact that the Pixel 8 didn't reach the Pixel 8 Pro AI features was already a bad indication that this would be the first year that the A series might get short-changed. I'm Jaime Rivera with Pocketnow, and it's time for another deep dive.

This is the $2500 Peloton, what most people consider to be the Best there is, and this is a $500 Alternative. The price should be enough to lead anyone to believe one is better than the other, but what if I told you that's not the case? What if the alternative is not just more affordable, but also better in many ways than the Peloton? Well there's only one way to find out.
On one corner we have the Peloton Bike+, the company's most versatile bike ever as it's technically not just an indoor cycle. On the other we have the Yesoul G1M Plus, the company's best offering, and also a flexible approach to giving you more than just cycling solutions.
When YESOUL reached out to partner for this video, I told them I already owned the first generation Peloton that's currently $1000 cheaper, and that it would be enough for a comparison, but nope. They insisted on sending me the most expensive Peloton just to prove that their G1M Plus can compete against the best of the best, and I accepted because they're watching this video at the same time as you are. I'm allowed full creative control to give you the pros and cons of both after a week of testing them. I'm Jaime Rivera with Pocketnow and let's dive into our comparison.

Graphics provided by: Motionvfx.comIs Samsungs Galaxy Z Fold 6 Already Dated?Pocketnow2024-04-13 | Samsung might have been the first at launching a global foldable, but it hasn't been alone in this market. The only thing playing in its favor for the last couple of years is that its major competitors were mostly still in China. Now, while this allowed Samsung to reign supreme and dominate, it also came at the expense of a design that many consider dated now that those Chinese foldables have gone global. It's the main reason why all eyes are on what Samsung is going to do next, but by the looks of it, the answer might be - not much. I'm Jaime Rivera with Pocketnow and how about another deep dive for the next batch of Galaxy foldables.

I mean Steve Jobs even used the words "we've made something wonderful for your hand" when the first iPhone was launched, mainly because the original idea was for your phone to be ergonomic. I seriously wonder if Samsung ever thought the first Galaxy Note would ever become the phenomenon that it was. It's funny in retrospect that all of us in the media mocked the concept of using a phone that big, only for the market to force even Apple to follow the trend.
Now I say form follows function because at first it really was just a concept, which then evolved into the need of giving users more endurance, since battery technology hasn't really shrunk in a decade. At the time you picked the big phone because you wanted it to last longer, but I'm sure many of you still struggle with handling it every day. I'm sure that if any company were to figure out how to make a great small phone with amazing battery life, you might think twice… and well, it seems the time has finally come.
This is the Galaxy S24, Samsung's smallest of its latest flagships, and maybe the best phone for anyone that's looking for a great phone on a more ergonomic package. I'm Jaime Rivera with Pocketnow and let's dive in to our full review.

At its unveiling at Google I/O 2023, we had heard some speculation of its existence, but we mostly didn't even know what it looked like. I do think it was a bold move for the company to prove that it was out there to believe in foldables, not just by adapting Android to the form factor, but also by betting its hardware on its success. A lot of the first Pixel Fold didn't really feel like a first-generation device when I did my hands-on with the prototypes, but that wasn't really the case with the final units. A lot of it felt unrefined and left me desiring a new Pixel Fold update, which apparently is already in the works.. And yeah, leaked. I'm Jaime Rivera with Pocketnow and it's time for another deep dive.
So here's the thing: I think the last time I reviewed a TV was 2021 and it was mainly because most of the great TVs were the flagship 2 to $5,000 LGs and Samsung's of the world, and the premium sub $1500 category was good, but not great. Sure, technologies like QLED have now trickled down to them, but there was always something missing. Either their UI's were slow, or they didn't support the latest HDMI for your new PS5, or the screen quality was just good… but for the money. So what if I told you that the best bang for the buck TV you can buy right now can be found for less than $1000? Sort of..
Well, this is the TCL QM8 2023, what the company calls an unmatched Flagship, and what I'm gonna have to agree with now I've spent some time with it. I know we already saw the 2024 variants at CES, which we covered extensively, but since those are due until the Spring, this might just be the best bang for the buck deal you can find right now ahead of the Super Bowl. I'm Jaime Rivera with Pocketnow and yeah, let's make another TV review.

Samsung is calling out that its Galaxy AI is here, and I know, the term Artificial Intelligence is everywhere today, not just here. What's interesting, though is that Samsung's approach is unique in a couple of ways, and dare I say, most of which are pretty awesome. I'm Jaime Rivera with Pocketnow and let's dive into our hands-on.
Thing is, can I just say this is probably my favorite CES in a long time. I've never been a fan of the show because it's usually a lot of vapor ware, very few products we care about, and well, all that changed this year.
