Composed 06 Oct to 03 Nov 2023 for a chorale assignment. This is written from the perspective of a penitent soul who seeks God's mercy, and it culminates in the joy of one having achieved personal salvation. The past few years have been full of personal penance, and so I sought to capture that here. I realize it's not as simple as was asked of me, but I think I made it work.

Miserere mei, Deus, quia peccavi tibi!
Domine, dele iniquitatem meam!

Have mercy on me, God, for I have sinned against you!
Lord, blot out my transgressions!

There's a blunder in this video. Near the end, I marked the fully diminished 7th chord as being in 2nd inversion (vii°4/3, which would be B°7/F). This is a mistake; it is actually in 1st inversion (vii°6/5, which would be B°7/D). Despite my perfectionist impulses, I've elected to just begrudgingly let it be.
