Sunday Dance Session - Cerebral Palsy Robyn Lambird 2018-12-30 | Sunday dance session...Maybe I'll make this a regular thing, it's good cardio at least. Working on leading with the shoulders in this flow, de-clunking and exercising neuroplasticty. 2019 is going to be all about exploration, letting go of fear, and creativity. Dance is definitely outside of my comfort zone but maybe that a good thing. One thing is for sure it definitely seems to calm my body, and more importantly my brain. Cerebral Palsy is bossy, but the brain craves things that are new; patterns, motions, experiences. Would I cure my disability? (Cerebral Palsy) Robyn Lambird 2018-12-21 | Would I cure my disability? The answer is kind of complicated...I'm grateful for all the experiences Cerebral Palsy has given me, for the community it has placed me in, and for the strength I've gained from it's challenges, but as I get older I find myself seeking ways to reduce its limitations. The body really is a temple and I believe you have to invest in it to grow, both physically and spiritually. One aspect of that for me means exploring what my body is capable of outside of the habitual patterns of CP, and searching for new ways in which I can create more efficient methods of movement. Does this mean I wish to be 'normal' or able-bodied...Not necessarily.Would you cure yours?
