First official 7 on Gen5! | German Championships 2023 - My Finals Patrick Kern 2023-04-05 | Two weeks ago, the German Championships 2023 took place - the first one since Gen5 has been released. And oh boy, what an awesome tournament! I've managed to get two new official Gen5-records, one of them was my first official 7! I've managed to get two 7s on Gen4 before, one on a WSSA tournament, the other one on an ISSF tournament. I never thought that I'd be able to do that again with Gen5. But here we go!The other record was in the 3-6-3. So close to a 2.8x too!Also surprising: The doubles with Richard Mellmer (M4-stacker) lead us to a second place in the 25+-division!Next one will probably be the Ostsee-Cup (ISSF) again - after such a long break. Sport Stacking: The special Bond between Parent and Child Patrick Kern 2022-10-18 | If you hear or read about "Sport Stacking", you'll probably think about the insane and unique speed of the most talented stackers at first.But there's another uniqueness of the sport which should be - in my eyes - much more recognized: This sport brings parents and their children closer together.It's a hobby which is shared by multiple generations; this is something other sports don't do that easily. Though it was still different because there were many small satellite tournaments, it's a beginning in the right direction after covid-19. 10. Bayerische Meisterschaft 2019 - My Finals [Sport Stacking Competition] Patrick Kern 2019-11-03 | Yesterday, the second tournament of this WSSA season (in Germany) took place in Speichersdorf. Though I was a bit more shaky than usual this time, I'm glad that I was able to keep my 3-3-3 and 3-6-3 consistent. This time, it was actually enough for the first place in Masters 1. :)But my Cycle... Could have been way better. Second place for me here though first place was reachable (8.819).Now I have to get really good results at ALL the upcoming tournaments to get my seasonal sub 8 cycle average... WSSC 2019 - My Finals [Sport Stacking Competition] Patrick Kern 2019-05-03 | The (first) highlight of the year is over. Last weekend, the World Sport Stacking Championships 2019 took place in Mollina, Spain.I'm really happy about my results in the relay events (3x World Champion) and also pretty happy about my doubles (3rd place) though we could also have gotten 2nd place - but since Rebecca and I are both lefthanded and used a righty style (with me as the right, active hand), the results are absolutely satisfying.Just my individual results don't make me happy. My 3-6-3 was quite good, but my 3-3-3 and especially my Cycle didn't bring results I'm okay with. If I would have gotten similar results to the results at my last tournaments, the 3rd place would have been possible in all events. 14. Deutsche Sport Stacking Meisterschaft 2019 - My finals [Sport Stacking Competition] Patrick Kern 2019-03-19 | Last weekend, the last tournament of the German season 2018/2019 took place in Speichersdorf. Though I'm a bit disappointed for some results, my team and I did really well.The most thing which annoys me is my Cycle final because my main goal was to get an seasonal average of 7.xx seconds. I needed a 8.046 or faster to get it, but I just got a 8.307 which gives me an 8.03 average... :/But surprisingly, I've managed to reach podium in all three individual events (3/2/3). I've also got 3rd place in doubles and first place in Cycle HTH relay.Unfortunately the 14.52 got scratched afterwards because of a foot fault, so we've got 2nd place instead of 1st place. But we were able to get another 14.xx in SOC, so we've still got 1st place overall. :)Next tournament is going to be the WSSC in Spain. New Years Tournament 2019 - My finals [Sport Stacking Competition] Patrick Kern 2019-01-13 | First tournament of the year! And it started very well for me :)My 3-3-3 (2.21), 3-6-3 (2.61) and my Doubles (8.33) were all new tournament bests - and my Cycle was decent as well. It just annoys me that I missed the Top 10 by just one place... But there's always a next time, right?And I noticed that I have to work on my stops when I'm trying to get fast times. The faster I get, the worse gets my stop. Money for Art || Sport Stacking/Dice Stacking Performance Patrick Kern 2018-12-23 | Last monday (also at my birthday), I had a little performance at the event "Money for art" in Hamburg, Germany."Money for art" is a monthly show where seven competitiors get seven minutes to impress the audience with their art, for example with singing, with poetry slam, with comedy or with anything else. 14. Weidig Open 2018 - My finals [Sport Stacking Competition] Patrick Kern 2018-11-18 | Third WSSA tournament of the season 2018/2019. And finally I reached one of my longest goals so far. I've managed to get my first 7 in the finals of a WSSA tournament! :)The last three tournaments were so good and consistent that I can already say: This is going to be my best stacking season ever. I recently just have one more goal left: Getting an average of 7.xx seconds in the Cycle at the end of this season. With a 8.15, a 8.09 and a 7.85 in my last Cycle finals, I'm currently sitting here with an average of 8.03. 9. Bayerische Meisterschaft 2018 - My Finals [Sport Stacking Competition] Patrick Kern 2018-11-05 | Second WSSA tournament of the season 2018/2019. Even better than my results at the CSSC three weeks ago! I placed 1st in all individual events - I even won the Cycle event which I've never won before. 8. Crailsheimer Sportstacking Cup - My Finals [Sport Stacking Competition] Patrick Kern 2018-10-15 | First WSSA tournament of the season 2018/2019. And it was a good one!I placed 4th in 3-3-3, 2nd in 3-6-3, 3rd in Cycle and 3rd in Relay. The second Cycle attempt could've been my first 7.xx on a WSSA tournament ever...
