The Road Trip | a Super 8 Travel Film Craving to Create 2021-03-04 | This winter we decided to take our first road trip from California all the way to Portland, Oregon. Instead of making a traditional Seasonal Cinematic Travel Film, I decided to break out my Canon 814 8mm camera and film with that. This is my first time editing using footage shot with a Super 8 camera. It was a really interesting experience and I definitely learnt a lot (like just because it sounds like its filming doesn't mean it is...). I don't think this will be my last Super 8 Travel Film, I just ordered more 8mm film from Pro8mm and am excited to shoot more!Thanks to Kat and our friend Scarlett for filming at times and for showing us around Portland! We FINALLY went camping! | Tahoe Vlog Craving to Create 2020-11-18 | As a couple that enjoys traveling, we somehow had never gone on a camping trip until this year! It was a super fun camping trip in Tahoe National Forest along the Truckee River! One of our favorite places to visit, Tahoe is just an hour and a half away from UC Davis so it makes it an easy trip. And UC Davis Outdoor Adventures has all the camping essentials available to rent which made it easy on us as well! Also the campground we stayed at was Goose Meadows!Can't wait for more trips to Lake Tahoe, and winter is always one of my favorite times to visit so who knows, next Tahoe vlog might be soon! Simple Swordfish Skewers [Recipe] | Azorean Cuisine Craving to Create 2020-10-11 | Two of my favorite aspects of Azorean Cuisine get combined in this super simple and easy swordfish skewer recipe! Delicious seafood, and the best marinade from the Atlantic, Pimenta Moida! This is the first "formal" recipe I've made for Craving to Create, so just know that they are going to improve over time (i.e. this is a little rough) BUT I am super happy to share my love of Azorean food with all of you!
