Dancing Hula in Hawaii - ‘Au’a ‘ia - Holding Tightly to Hawaiian Culture Captain Potter 2024-04-14 | THIS!!! This is 'Au’a ’ia performed by Halau Ka Lei Mokihana o Leina’ala on the island of Kauai - and to create this scene we had them perform this Hula several times hahaha. SO SORRY GIRLS - MAHALO YOU!! My vision for this scene was to showcase a complete hula performance as the climax of our film, highlighting the beauty of each movement on screen. As a director - it's an incredibly exciting, and humbling feeling, to watch your idea come to life through the talent of others. The way this scene came together exceeded my imagination.
