I spotted Makayla about two weeks after our first chat and she agreed to a follow-up interview. Makayla has been thinking about our discussion, even while listening to a sermon in Church.
After some deliberation, I decided to include a few extra seconds of footage that included my emotional reaction to the exchange.
I regret not being a little more polite in saying goodbye, but I was far too choked up to speak.
Please let me know if you notice any mistakes so that I can address them here for self-improvement.

Organizers of the event asked me to make the video public and share it on my channel to help bring more awareness to their cause.
I was very moved by their efforts in standing up against oppressive theocratic government regimes and hope #Iran will become more secular as a result of their brave actions.

Can I do this over email or Twitter? 05:25 Do you only question people with whom you disagree? 07:28 Why do we want to take away important beliefs from people? What is the ethical justification for doing SE? 10:25 If you don't succeed in your SE talk, could people walk away thinking they are even more correct in their view? 12:00 Are there any studies showing how long the effect of an SE conversation will stay with people? 14:04 Can you use SE with an unreasonable or hostile person? 15:54 How much time and energy do you put in with people before you give up on them? 17:31 Isn't the idea of trust a factor in both supernatural claims and scientifict claims? 21:06 Could discussions go different without a camera recording them? 22:02 Is it fair to share your own opinions after you've had an SE conversation like this? 23:23 Are many of the challenges we see in these examples a result of not understanding how science works? 25:55 How do we form a Street Epistemology group here in the Netherlands?

I do some more "messaging" than normal in this one, likely in response to them asking me questions.
te·na·cious /təˈnāSHəs/ adjective 1. tending to keep a firm hold of something; clinging or adhering closely. 2. not readily relinquishing a position, principle, or course of action; determined. 3. persisting in existence; not easily dispelled.
Note: I found in interesting how "importance" of the claim was being viewed differently by both parties here. The students seem to be using it as "needed" while I seem to be viewing it as "fantastic." If only I had asked something like, "Are you saying that, the more necessary a claim is to a person, the more likely the attestations of others from a long time ago are true?", or something to that effect. IL2 at one point asks, "What happens to me?," as if that should be a factor in assessing the truth of a claim. I was later reminded about a discussion I had about differences in adjective meanings, like we might see with a word like "important" or "extraordinary". In their view, it seems, if a claim is "important" to them personally (like "Jesus rose from the dead," it's less likely someone would lie or be mistaken about the claim, and therefore you can accept what they stated as true to a high degree of confidence. Whereas from my perspective (and perhaps others who might be more skeptically-minded) we see "importance" as a biasing factor to control for; the more important or impactful one might find a claim to them personally is a reason to apply more—not less—scrutiny to the supporting reasons. Check out Pinecreek on YouTube and his more advanced "Flying Man" ( youtu.be/2ZNiCpeF_Jg?t=4789 ) example, which is further along than I was here with my off-the-cuff car metaphor in 2019. I'd like to see this idea of how we might be using adjectives differently explored further in future SE discussions.

This can be both exciting and frustrating, particularly when people may have only watched older examples, form a view on SE, and then miss out on the improvements we've developed over the years. In short, never stop watching SE videos—we're evolving rapidly!
The banging noise from the metal flashing by the bridge as people passed frustrated me when this was being filmed (you should have a pretty good idea of how I am with background noise by now), but now I can see these random interruptions help call attention to the thresholds people have when it comes to the quality of their supporting reasons. Camera shakes (and in some cases, louder bangs) were added in post for added effect.
Due to the length of this chat, I edited a few minutes of footage here and there, but nothing to alter anything significant.

This idea of the "totality of the circumstances" (or in other words "there's just so many reasons for my belief that shaking a few reasons won't affect my overall confidence that the claim is true") is very common, albeit frustrating when you encounter it. If a reason serves to bolster one's confidence, the realization that a reason cannot be justified to one's own standard should have a corresponding impact if it is no longer a viable option in the mix.

guid·ance /ˈɡīdəns/ noun 1. advice or information aimed at resolving a problem or difficulty, especially as given by someone in authority.
Three questions for Justin (and for you): "Why exactly do you think that you would be any different?" "How would I act any different if I didn't think God was real?" "Why would I want to be less moral than I am today?"
Note: I didn't notice until editing (or I probably would've said something on camera after the interview) how some of the background action happened to enhance certain aspects of this talk. For example, the golf cart (car) as we discuss the challenges of communicating, the various religious symbols on Justin's jacket, the seemingly lost older couple who stroll into the shot, the green wagon with quiet wheels, the landscaper picking up the leaf and tossing it in the trash. As far as I can tell, it really did just happen to work out that way. Oh! There was one small thing I intentionally snuck into the background--let's see if anyone notices it.
Note: If memory serves, the person with the bear was selling flowers or something (as it was Valentine's Day) and we had a brief chat about how she might sell more flowers if she walked around with the bear rather than stood next to it. If you look closely, it seems to help get people's attention.

Summary: After creating a pie chart of reasons for thinking his Christian worldview is objectively true into categories grouped by importance, Shane and I explore the attributes of his reasons and how they interrelate or possibly influence each other.
Since all four of our talks cover important concepts that set the stage for exploring the quality of Shane's reasons and reliability of Shane's methods, I've dubbed this series "pre-method" or "pre-methodological" as a result. It's my hope that these four talks will resonate with practitioners of Street Epistemology and they can see the potential this line of questioning has when it comes to exploring deeply-held beliefs.
I am hopeful a discussion like this will one day break through the noise and truly help people reconsider how they decide to interact with someone else's claims, reasons, and methods. Identifying the relationships and dependencies of our "categories of reasons" is a critical path people should routinely consider.

Note: Despite my best efforts, I was unable to conduct a 5th chat with Shane. I realize this may frustrate some viewers, but felt it would still be valuable to release these four talks to the public. The primary purpose of my videos has always been to show others how to do Street Epistemology themselves. If Shane and I never cross paths again, it's my hope someone will continue engaging with him in a productive manner. Thank you for your understanding and time.

Mistakes: It was extremely rude for me to snap my fingers at the bystanders. I should have apologized to them for that. Additionally, it dawned on my that referring to it as "that little incident" could be seem as an attempt to diminish the incident. I can't say for sure, as my memory of late has been decreasing, but I think the spirit I was aiming for the word "little" was "brief" or "short". If you happened to be one of the three (?) people there, please private message me if you'd like to chat.

Wikipedia': "Antinatalism, or anti-natalism, is a philosophical position and social movement that assigns a negative value to birth. Antinatalists argue that people should abstain from procreation because it is morally bad."
My first three talks with Cristina were in my view, inconsequential to this topic, and will likely never be uploaded. We are hoping to meet again soon on camera to revisit the morality of anti-natalism, as I regret not having spent more time on that.
Cristina and I worked out many of the details surrounding the release of this video and I hope she feels comfortable keeping our channel of communication open should she wish to talk again.

Mistakes: Looking back, I wish we discussed the term "anxiety," because it seems to me that stress might be more of a factor than happiness here. I'm also wondering if the term "resistance" was less about refusal, friction, or being disaffected and perhaps more about "managing urges." Definitely worth exploring if we get another chance to speak. Technically, the footage from my chest camera looks really washed out. Perhaps my camera was facing the sun while it was unclasped and took in too much sunlight. All the other chest camera footage from this day looks good, so I'm unclear how this could have happened. Perhaps it was particularly brighter than normal during the time of this interview. We tried to correct that video footage as best we could with what we had.

“It’s okay to question,
It's okay to have doubts,
It's okay to explore the doubts.
It's okay to 'question authority',
It's okay to question your beliefs
It's okay to question everything.
It's okay to explore your thoughts on religion,
It's okay to step off the religious bandwagon for a while.
It's okay to seek answers,
It's okay to require proof.
It's okay to view the world differently,
It's okay to think differently,
It's okay to think for yourself,
It's okay to trust yourself.
It's okay to change your mind.
It's okay to be an atheist,
It's okay to be gay.
It's okay to let go,
It's okay to leave.
It's okay not to know,
It's okay to say “I don’t know”,
It's okay to not believe in anything.
It's okay.
You’ll be okay.”

00:23 and 14:49 Eric Murphy “I was like a deep sea diver slowly rising to the surface and stopping to decompress at regular intervals...I recall at one specific point being rather surprised to discover that I no longer believed, I had not expected that. It was like I’d broken surface and discovered a whole new world.” —Anon
04:40 Objectively Dan “After hours of fasting and prayer, I heard a voice that I believed at the time was god. I also used to feel a full-body tingling during meditation and prayer, and could walk around for hours feeling that tingling, feeling as though my awareness to my surroundings was heightened. The full-body tingling happened more than 100 times in my life.”—Anon
05:00 Lloyd Evans “I still don't have an answer for it: A pastor prayed over me to receive the indwelling of the spirit. I felt a warmth begin in my belly that radiated upward and out of my mouth. It’s the only truly supernatural, or at least unexplained, event in my life.”—Vinny
06:55 Jenna Belk “The kid next door shot a hummingbird in our yard with a BB gun. I remember holding the bird as the life drained out of it, blood coating its jeweled feathers. I prayed so hard for this little bird to be saved. That’s when the seed of doubt was planted.”—Teresa

Mistakes: *08:50 I shouldn't have been so quick to ask my question, because it appears that I cut off Marin just as he was starting to reflect on what he just said about the Devil. Maybe he was going to say "...and it sounds a little odd" or something along those lines. But now we'll likely never know for sure. Must try to slow things down even more, it seems.
