not to be confused with the Outrider from Star Wars or the one and only Outrider from Mondstadt.
this ship is a quite unique situation. it's one of the very rare times when the stats the game shows are low enough that the actual performance is above what you expect. most notable is how the grip, despite being rated E, is better than a lot of other ships, custom or not. combined with the quirk of boosters being way stronger when a ship is below 1000Kg, this ship is punching quite above its weight. overall it's still not good enough to compete with those at the top but it performs better than what it suggests.
if you're wondering what happened in Casino Palace, i had a power outage mid run. i managed to save the run because i had computer batteries powering my setup and the power outage was like 2 minutes.
Unique Custom Machines are machine part combinations that receive special names once you put together a machine with certain parts. the names usually reference something but other than that, it doesn't affect the machine's performance. they still work the same as any custom machine.
there are 77 Unique Custom Machines in the game but only 51 of them are accesible normally because 26 of them require the Event Parts that are no longer obtainable. the parts can be obtained with cheat codes on the original release but those aren't accesible on Switch 2 so this version is limited to 51 machines.
i'm playing using the Wii U GC Adapter and an original GC controller. i also have an input display to show what i do during gameplay. the input display also comes with a function to change sensitivity and that lets me get around the sensitivity problem present in this version. it feels much closer to the original. there's still the input lag but it's more manageable.
