this ship is pretty bad. despite having the quirk of better boost strength due to being under 1000Kg, it still doesn't really get good speeds that often and loses speed quite fast. handling is tricky because it has quite unstable grip and can lose control easily since it's also got twitchy steering (most of the deaths in the run were because of this). there can be considerably worse ships but this one is not that far from them overall. at the very least its drivable.
Unique Custom Machines are machine part combinations that receive special names once you put together a machine with certain parts. the names usually reference something but other than that, it doesn't affect the machine's performance. they still work the same as any custom machine.
there are 77 Unique Custom Machines in the game but only 51 of them are accesible normally because 26 of them require the Event Parts that are no longer obtainable. the parts can be obtained with cheat codes on the original release but those aren't accesible on Switch 2 so this version is limited to 51 machines.
i'm playing using the Wii U GC Adapter and an original GC controller. i also have an input display to show what i do during gameplay. the stick sensitivity issue in the app was fixed but there's still the input lag issue. it's more manageable because it's only one problem to deal with.
