It's Saturday, which means it's Grand Prix day once again! This time I'm taking on the brand-new Ace League that just dropped last Tuesday for F-Zero 99's anniversary! Originally from BS F-Zero Grand Prix 2 on the Satellaview add-on for the Super Famicom, the Ace League practice ROM contained 5 tracks that have been rearranged a bit for the F-Zero 99 version: Mute City 4, Sand Storm 1, Big Blue 2, Sand Storm 2, and Silence 2.
The Sand Storm tracks take on a unique weather mechanic specific to those tracks. While the Satellaview game incorporated Death Wind mechanics to Sand Storm 2, F-Zero 99 instead opts for a different weather-related gimmick. When the player in the lead starts the third lap, the sandstorm will intensify and reduce visibility for a little bit.
By beating the Ace League with each machine, you can unlock a decal that makes them look like their Satellaview counterparts. So the Blue Falcon unlocks the Blue Thunder decal, the Golden Fox unlocks the Luna Bomber decal, the Wild Goose unlocks the Green Amazone decal, and the Fire Stingray unlocks the Fire Scorpion decal.

Wednesday - Mini Prix
Thursday - Team Battle
Friday - Classic Mode & Pro Tracks
Saturday - Grand Prix
