Now, THIS... I'm more uncertain about. Do people really want to see long, drawn-out, fast-paced, white-knuckle, crushing failure?

It's tricky, because I think the experience of the Ace League as a whole is pretty well-calibrated, and the full depths of the despair of defeat only exist because of the high-riding feeling of even an acceptable run underway...

(Your interpretation may vary, so be sure to let me know! ...I definitely don't PLAN on making this kind of content a central feature of regular uploads, however...)

Did I say I "love" F-Zero? Because the needle is definitely pointing towards "hate" right now:

(But the direction of that hate might be more inward than I'd normally prefer.)

If Blue Falcon is a more ideal choice of vehicle for this situation than the heavier-duty end of the player choice spectrum, surely Golden Fox must be even BETTER! Golden Fox is ALWAYS BETTER!

Putting aside the fact that this craft is definitely not tuned towards my particular preferences, it IS good at the things I praised Blue Falcon for presenting in the kinds of situation you are all but certain to run afoul of in Ace League Grand Prix...

But using it runs just askew of suicidal. More Boost! More recovery from questionable turns! Just flat out getting back up to speed sooner after a tight corner and being ready for the next one. Hopefully!

(Be very mindful to not explode!)

Race #1: Mute City IV

The plethora of boost and jump plates on this track are even MORE suited to Golden Fox's low maximum speed, because it lets you bypass that weakness for large stretches at a time. And the parts that don't? You've got Boost power! You probably won't even be able to use it all up before refilling at the start of the next lap!

---

Race #2: Sand Storm I

A real concern here is that the Golden Fox is VERY light, and if you're in a crowded field of other racers in some tricky spots, especially fraught with extra damage zones... you may end up getting very badly drained of your Power, and that's BEFORE considering how much of that meter you want to use on Boosting.

Just don't explode!

---

Race #3: Big Blue II

An entire long stretch of jump pads once again will be a great asset on conserving your Power and letting you get even more reckless with the rest of the track.

Within reason!

---

Race #4: Sand Storm II

The same general principles apply here as before, only you don't strictly HAVE to restrict yourself to a single boost per lap before running into trouble.

The Skyway will be far more useful than anything else, however.

---

Race #5: Silence II

This is what happens when you have a lightweight craft and veer too close to your adversaries who may not share your concern or considerations. Plus the slippery controls of the game in general.

Just stay cool, take a 20 if you really need to. And never feel obligated to use this thing again.

Or else you will have to. Sometime very soon.

... ... ...I don't really want to talk about it.
