Future of Artificial Intelligence in Role Playing Games: Fallout New Vegas - NPC with ChatGPT and OpenAI Voice Dialogue
In this video, I created a mod for Fallout New Vegas that allows you to talk to any NPC with ChatGPT AI. It even generates a voice! This is the future of AI in role playing games. It is currently not really viable for regular gameplay as it takes anywhere from 30 seconds to 2 minutes to generate a voice line. It also costs money or requires high computational power to generate ChatGPT prompts and voice lines locally. So this is currently just a showcase, but hey, who knows? Stay tuned!
