Practiced primarily in France, boat jousting dates back to ancient Egyptian Empires and is still a sport today. This video from September 12, 1960 illustrates the sport on one of France's many canals. Today it is viewed as a sport, but the ancient roots in Egypt illustrate boat jousting being used in battle.
