The Mt. Adams Institute's mission is to strengthen the connection between people and the natural world through education, service learning, career development and research. Its programs connect people of all ages to the natural world, from kids studying the ecology of Mt. Adams' forests with scientists to veterans building skills for careers in public lands and natural resources.
But due to cuts to federal grants and agreements and frozen funding, Mt. Adams Institute will cease its operations and dissolve by the end of 2026.
