Sancarn again here bringing you another invention. Guys I am proud to announce a new era in minecraft. An era which does not require you to go hunting or breading for food ever again! The era of the automated passive mob farms! This could not have been made without the implementation of the Hopper in snapshot 13w01b. Thank you Mojang!!!
FAQ:
Q - Why do you need the cobwebs?
A - This is so no baby chicks die. This just increases the efficiency of the farm and nothing more.
Q - How do you get cobwebs in survival?
A - Try using sheers with a silk touch enchantment on them. You can enchant sheers using enchanted books.
Q - Do any of the items burn in the fire
A - No. It's the same principle as the item elevator which JL2579 and the crew invented.
When the chickens fall into the fire and die they produce 1-2 entities. These entities will jump to the nearest air block which happens to be where the glass pane is. Hense no chicken is burnt.
