The unit gives the farmer plenty of warning to shut the flow of grain down to avoid plugging the auger or spilling any grain. It can be easily installed on any type of grain auger. At the time of our visit it was selling for $699. Brownlee has also built the Hopper Dropper, which allows farmers to open hopper bottom bin chutes wide open without spilling any grain. The unit attaches to the bottom of the bin with 80 pound magnets and sells for around $249.00.
