Today we are preparing a full Thanksgiving dinner, inspired by the world of warcraft cookbook. An abundant feast, just as it is enjoyed all throughout Azeroth during the Pilgrims bounty festivities. I will show you how to make cranberry sauce, prepare the deliciously spiced stuffing, and slow-roast a thanksgiving turkey.

In this cozy festive cook with me video, I take you along through all the dishes in easy to follow steps and share my tips and tricks so you too can cook a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner or a proper Azerothian pilgrim's bounty feast.

As always you can find the ingredients and measurements that I have used in the description box down below, together with the original cookbook.
This time I do have the classic version as well as a vegetarian option prepared for you. Unfortunately, only the cranberry sauce is vegan.

We will start by preparing a flavourful slightly tart cranberry sauce.

For the turkey-stuffing, we need a loaf of Mulgore spice bread, another delicacy from the world of warcraft cookbook that I have made on this channel before. You can check out the quick and easy recipe for this spiced bread with this link: youtu.be/w_QzYmbTNPA
This specific bread is made with a wonderful combination of warming spices, ideal for the colder season, that gives you the house that spell of home and holidays when baking in the oven.

If you end up with leftovers, the turkey and cranberry sauce make a great cold sandwich with some mustard and a slice of bread!


Cranberry sauce
1 onion
2 garlick cloves
1 tablespoon minced candied ginger
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup honey
1/3 cup port
2 Tablespoons balsamic vinegar
1 pear
1 apple
12 ounce fresh cranberries
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground coriander
1 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp ground cloves
salt to taste


Spice Bread Stuffing
1 loaf Mulgore spice bread /or other bread
2 1/2 cups milk
1/2 cup butter
1 onion
1 pear
1 apple
1 egg
1 tsp salt
1 Tbsp sage
1 tsp thyme
2 Tbsp fresh parsley

(add these spices - 1/2 tsp each - when using regular bread: ground cardamom, ginger, cinnamon, ground cloves, nutmeg)

Thanksgiving Turkey
1 turkey
2 cups chicken broth
2 cups apple cider vinegar
1 Tbsp honey
1 onion
1/4 cup melted butter
1 cup white wine
1 tsp dried rosemary
1 tsp dried thyme
1 tsp dried marjoram
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp ginger
1 tsp blue cornflower petals (optional)
salt to taste
swig of milk
some flour or cornstarch for gravy

Cooking tips
x When Turkey starts to brown, cover it lightly with a sheet of aluminium foil, so the skin doesn't burn.
x per pound the turkey should cook about 20 minutes. when unsure, ask your butcher for advice or refer to instructions on the package.
