We COMPLETELY rebuild an iconic Ford 300 straight-six engine in our popular "Redline Rebuild" time-lapse format. This particular engine comes out of a historic "barn find" Ford F-100 "Dunesmobile" truck that was recently found by Tom Cotter in this episode of Barn Find Hunter: youtu.be/kKPaDhH_XiE Watch as Hagerty mechanic Davin Reckow breathes new life into this tired old (sand-filled) engine!

After spending its early life as a tourist vehicle on the sand dunes of Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore in Empire, Michigan, this truck eventually came to rest in a field nearby Hagerty headquarters in Northern Michigan. Although quite rusty and worn out, much of its old pinstriping is still intact and the legendary Ford 300 6-cylinder was screaming to be given new life. Known for its dependability, it's no wonder Ford manufactured this workhorse of an engine, which powered many of its pickup trucks during that time, from 1965-1996!
