Several people have requested that I write a tutorial for my Hyperion Ambilight (Bias LIghting) setup and even though it took a whole year I think it's been long enough. Several things have changed and it's now easier to get this setup. This is a full tutorial that should cover any questions that you might have about how to set this up including all of the necessary parts and software. Please see the complete parts list below. The list is broken down by required parts and optional parts. We will use a Raspberry Pi, HDMI to USB capture, HDMI Splitter, and Individually Addressable LED strip to create a full Ambilight setup. This tutorial used to require an Arduino but it is no longer required.
