This is a micro-scale / stylized version of the Millennium Falcon — it’s not meant for play features or minifig integration, but rather as a compact display model.
Build Experience (Step-by-Step Summary)
Because it’s a small set, the build is relatively simple and quick. Here’s a rough breakdown of how the build goes (plus observations):
Organize parts
Lay out the 74 pieces, grouping by color / type (light bluish gray / dark bluish gray / red accents / transparent blue for engine thrust) helps.
Base & lower “shell” construction
You start with the lower structure of the Falcon’s “body” — the front mandibles, midsection, and underside. A few plate & hinge / bracket elements help orient the shape.
Adding detail – paneling & surface shapes
Once the skeleton is in place, you build up the panels and surface structure — slopes, tiles, small round bits to approximate the “greebling” (surface detail) of the Falcon. Even at this scale, the designers use “studs-not-on-top” techniques to break up monotony and add variation.
Cockpit & rear engine / thunder effect
A small cockpit structure is attached (not a full printed cockpit piece, but approximated by plates / slopes). The rear uses transparent blue elements to simulate engine thrust or hyperdrive glow.
Radar dish / finishing touches
Finally, a round dish (radar / sensor) is added (slightly offset, to give asymmetry), plus final small tiles and round studs. The model is compact and symmetrical, but with slight asymmetry in detail to mimic the “used” aesthetic of the Falcon.
