My review of Fulgentius by Cesar Aira! This is one of those books that I have no idea how to feel about, one of those times where it feels like you're standing next to something momentous without really understanding why. I'm deeply unsettled by the mirror held up to humanity and to power within this short book about a Roman general conquering ancient Pannonia, but who cares far more about staging a play he wrote when he was young.
