Fukushima Struggling 5 Years On (Denying Anything is Wrong) "Journey from Disaster" is what NHK likes to call it - The fishermen are screwed, the radioactivity is Everywhere - constantly moving around via wind, new releases, tracking it around from your car, shoes, clothes, water, puddles, rain, snow, washout... Accidental and intentional burning of radioactive debris. Not to mention just breathing in any ONE random particle(s) in a lung. The fallout on the food. What can be done? Nothing really, that I am aware of. And yet Japan continues to persue "turning the nuclear reactors back on" and exporting nuclear technology. It makes my brain hurt the insanity of everything. Normalizing insanity does not rest easy with me. Perhaps that's why I've covered this disaster from the beginning 5 years ago. I had no idea what a fuel rod even WAS - let alone a "Spent Fuel Pool". What an education we've all had, eh? Enough chatter from me. Here's what is in today's update:

Nuclear accident victims still seeking compensation - and yet are told they will LOSE any compensation if they do NOT move back into contaminated (formerly known as) "decontaminated" areas.
