The extremely high fuel pressures that Direct Injection engines require to operate efficiently utilise highly sensitive Fuel Rail Pressure sensors to provide data feedback to the ECM.

Contrary to popular belief, FRP diagnostic trouble codes such as P0192 are not caused by incorrect fuel pressure but rather electrical faults in the FRP, ECM and associated circuits.
