"Frosty Returns" is a 25-minute sequel to the classic special, "Frosty the Snowman".
This follow-up introduces a new story with a different set of characters and maintains continuity with CBS's annual broadcasts of "Frosty the Snowman."
The special begins with the cancellation of school due to heavy snowfall. Young Holly, a somewhat lonely aspiring magician, crosses paths with Frosty, who has arrived in town.
Meanwhile, the villainous Mr. Twitchell has developed "Summer Wheeze," an aerosol spray designed to make snow vanish instantly. He hopes to win favor with the townspeople and become their king.
As the town falls under the spell of "Summer Wheeze," Frosty and Holly join forces to remind the townspeople of the joy of winter. Frosty is crowned king of the annual Winter Carnival, and their message encourages the community to reconsider their aversion to snow.
