Towards the end of the week, some cold and frosty nights are on the way for most of the UK. As the winds fall light and skies clear, the long nights will allow temperatures to fall away. Northern areas are most likely to see a frost initially - especially in the countryside. However, frost will become more widespread at the weekend - even in towns and cities.
