Born and raised in Wisconsin, Ishtar, born Thomas Howell, lived both a strange and normal life. A near-death experience at age 13 produced a profound but ephemeral spiritual awakening, and ultimately sparked an ardent quest for Enlightenment. Through intensive meditation using the Ishayas' Ascension meditation practice, he reached a permanent state of Samadhi. Having worked many jobs: gardener, builder, and writer, to name a few, Ishtar currently lives in Portugal, working as a meditation teacher and an intuitive archetypal astrologer. As a meditation teacher, he teaches people effortless means of relaxing into Samadhi. As an astrologer, he offers readings that illuminate each client's unique journey, blending mystical insight with astrological analysis.
