Staying at Yuzkyu lodge in Niigata, Japan has been the most amazing workaway experience. We had reasonable working hours shovelling snow and doing odd jobs around the lodge.

We had so much extra time to go snowboarding too! We went to Iwappara, for its beginner friendliness, and then to Gala Yuzawa for its ease of access by the bullet train, only 1 hour from Tokyo! Finally we went to Kagura because its renowned for being the best ski resort in the area.
