A BIAA Online Lecture with Özlem Başdoğan and Gül Pulhan.
The online certificate course, ‘Safeguarding and Rescuing Archaeological Assets’, was a pioneer in Turkey and attracted thousands of cultural heritage related professionals, academics and students who were eager to learn new skills and develop their professional capacities. The design and implementation of the course was a collaboration between the BIAA, Koç University’s ANAMED and ICOM UK as part of the UK Cultural Protection Fund supported SARAT Project (Safeguarding Archaeological Assets of Turkey). Two years on, we reached out to our graduates and documented their fantastic journeys and accomplishments inspired and endorsed from their learning in the programme. The impact is real, multifaceted and has contributed to the protection and understanding of cultural heritage in Turkey.
