About this series
The collections of Oklahoma Historical Society include more than 130,000 items ranging from sewing needles to cars and tipis. These artifacts are kept in a temperature- and humidity-controlled environment and may be rotated in and out of exhibits. But some items are so fragile or unique that they may never be brought out for the public to see and may be viewed by appointment only. It’s on this premise that the Oklahoma History Center offers a new online video series, “From the Collection.” Through this series, the Oklahoma History Center will share the stories behind some of the most intriguing artifacts in the collection.
