Connie Baxter Marlow tells the story of the Separatist movement in Scrooby, England. The non-conforming Separatists became the Mayflower Pilgrims, after defying King James, fleeing to Holland and ultimately sailing to America to begin a society based upon freedom of conscience. They lived in peace and friendship with the Native Americans who shared this impulse to freedom to relate to the Divine/Creator directly and planted the seeds of American democracy that were to become the Constitution of the United States, with the subsequent influence of the Iroquois Great Law.
