I found this sycamore log with a fairly deep knot and some character-filled "defects," and I knew there was something beautiful hiding inside. In this video, I’m turning the log then splitting it into a pair of matching live-edge tealight holders.

Finishing with multiple coats of Danish Oil to bring out that pale, creamy sycamore grain while keeping a natural, tactile feel.
