Are you feeling behind this summer? I know I've said this many times to myself recently but today I'd thought I'd address the truth and put us back on track. Right on summer time! Join us for an ordinary day in our farmhouse, feeding hungry bellies, endless homemaking and slowly but surely decorating our farmhouse for the 4th of July!
RECIPES:
Homemade Pancakes:
2 cups flour
1 Tbsp sugar
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1.5 - 1.75 cups milk (I start with 1.5 and then add more if needed)
1 tsp vanilla
1 stick butter, melted
Whisk together dry ingredients. Make a well in the middle and add the wet ingredients. Mix together until well blended but don't over-mix.
Allow batter to rest a few minutes while your pan heats over medium/low heat. Cook pancakes until you see small bubbles on top, flip and cook until golden brown (try to only flip once!) Serve with butter and maple syrup.
