The great thing about Goodyear welted boots is that they can be resoled by any neighborhood cobbler — but sometimes the damage is too severe. If you keep wearing your boots long after they should have been resoled and the damage makes it all the way through the footbed, the boots need to be RELASTED: and only the company that makes them can do it.
