May 8 2020 marked the 75th anniversary of Victory in Europe - VE Day, the official end of World War II in Europe.

Bletchley Park was the place where the enemy’s military messages - messages that had been encoded to an incredibly advanced level - were decrypted to extract vital intelligence.

These messages were broken using specially built, advanced computers such as the Bombe and Colossus.

TNMOC Research Fellow Dr Mark Priestley and heritage consultant Gavin Clarke in this video talk about the run-up to VE Day. Mark and Gavin discuss the situation at Bletchley, the messages broken, the German response - and the fate of the computers that helped win WWII.
