Did an oopsy: Zoe Blade was the music source. I forgot to add the credit IN video for her. But all music was her and her magical electronics.
Rule 3, "Make friends with people who want the best for you," of Jordan B. Peterson's "12 Rules for Life: An Antidote to Chaos."
Let's explore what Peterson thinks friendship should entail, with a surprisingly little amount of order or chaos. Just nihilism. Loads and loads of nihilism.
In editing, a couple thoughts emerged: one is that this chapter is a bit more contradictory on further reflection than had occurred to me when writing/shooting. Following Peterson's logic, Chris and Ed should have really wanted to have Peterson as a friend, unless he didn't really want the best for them.
The other thought is a bit sadder, but related to the first. The strange tonal shift and apparent anger at the reader in this chapter might be Peterson, in essence, having a monologue at his deceased friend. Almost like he is justifying the end result and whatever he did (or didn't) do over the years. Following from this, his comment about choosing "bad" friends because we're trying to save them. Is Peterson talking about the friend he ultimately couldn't save from himself? It's a lot easier to blame nihilism than the million little things that lead people down that path.
