November 21, 2025: Today I share what I've made, what is still on my cutting table (the Alexa Blouse) and why, my body image issues and general feelings about my recent weight gain, and what I plan to make this weekend (another item for someone else!!)
A note about my candid conversation about my weight gain: I am not in a bad place, I promise. I am sharing how I feel about my body, not anyone else's. This is me not comfortable in my own skin, but because I am aching a bit more, and I can visually see the change...including feeling the firmness of my skin/muscle go away. It took a long time for me to love the shape of my body as a young adult, and now that my shape is changing and shifting, its very uncomfortable for me. This is about me wanting to be fitter than I currently am. As a sewist, I measure my bust, waist and hips with every new project, so I am acute to the measurements going up and trending. I want to be body positive with myself and I appreciate no rude comments.
