Hey, guys. I hope you all are already having a Happy New Year. Actually, I trust it to be sooooo. If not, do whatever you can in your power to make it so. Everybody deserves a fresh start.

All you readers out there KNOW the feeling when an unread book is thirst-trapping (honestly, I just like the sound of that hyphenated word) you from the shelf. It's a book that calls and calls and calls you (presumably while dressed in a teddy) until it is in your grasp. Yeah, well. That's the experience here.

Anyway, as of my writing this I'm now 108 pages into the book and love it. It really does go down smoothly. Plus, it takes its time doing so. And I think Rand's dad is kind of sexy. Though my mind hasn't decided yet. Nevertheless, I don't drink, but I would imagine some sort of liquor would be the equivalent of how smooth and quietly exhilarating this book is.

"Though I ramble in these description boxes," said the prophet.

ANYWAY (for real this time)...

The Eye of the World by Robert Jordan (Amazon affiliate link) @ amzn.to/36mrarH

"The Wheel of Time turns and Ages come and go, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth returns again. In the Third Age, an Age of Prophecy, the World and Time themselves hang in the balance. What was, what will be, and what is, may yet fall under the Shadow.

When The Two Rivers is attacked by Trollocs―a savage tribe of half-men, half-beasts― five villagers flee that night into a world they barely imagined, with new dangers waiting in the shadows and in the light."

For a little expansive fun, you can check out my blog post (bit.ly/2SWA63v) where I feature my rambling thoughts on reading New Spring ahead of the pillar release, The Eye of the World.
