Selena's Backstory:
In the town of Monta Vista where beautiful scenery and breathe-taking food is found, there’s a family that everyone loved and respected – The Lavertas. Everyone became interested in one Laverta woman in particular – Selena, who was unlike any other woman in Monte Vista. She did not follow the traditional belief that women shouldn’t have careers and should be married after the age of twenty. Selena wanted more for herself. As a child Selena found herself fascinated with things that most girls in Monte Vista were not into such as, cars, science, and constructing. These interests caused Selena to be shunned by the townspeople and even her own family. Her mother consistently pushed Selena into marriage and even introduced her to a man who would eventually become her husband. However this older man saw that Selena was not happy and tried his best to make his potential wife happy. Nothing worked. Selena only wanted a life full of happiness and she knew being forced into marriage was not going to give her that. Will she be able to find her happy ending or will her family cause her to crash and burn?
