Oh my goodness this recipe from my 1950’s Good Housekeeping Cook Book was absolutely delicious! (Thank you so much to a lovely subscriber Tara for sending this cookbook to me, I love it to bits!!) 💕
I thought this week I would share some shorts that are a little less time consuming than a big long video for YouTube. I’m in the process of filming some Christmasy content, so stay tuned! 🎄🎁

Recipe:
5 tablespoons butter or margarine
4 cups thinly sliced large onions
1/4 teasp. pepper
5 beef-bouillon cubes
5 1/3 cups water
1 teasp. salt
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

Method:
In hot butter in saucepan, sauté onions until deep golden brown; sprinkle with pepper. Bring bouillon cubes and water to boil; stir well. Add onions, salt; simmer, covered, 1 hr. Place 1 toast round in each soup dish; pour soup over it. Sprinkle with cheese. Makes 5 servings.
