I've repaired and restored this French HMV 101 gramophone. It had ancient grease that, over 85 years, had solidifed into tar. I completely disassembled the motor, cleaned away the ancient grease, oiled & greased everything, and replaced a broken worm gear. It was a fun project and the end result is this fantastic 85+ year old gramophone.
