Our guest on this episode of "Freethought Matters" is Ryan P. Burge, a professor of political science at Eastern Illinois University specializing in religious demography. He’s the author of the 2021 book, “The Nones: Where They Came From, Who They Are, and Where They Are Going.” Burge’s newest book is “20 Myths about Religion and Politics in America,” where he postulates that the way most people think about religion and politics is only loosely connected to the actual empirical data.
