Elie Mystal is an attorney who graduated from Harvard Law School. He often appears on MSNBC, and is the justice correspondent for The Nation magazine, where he writes about the courts and the criminal justice system. He’s an Alfred Knobler Fellow at the Type Media Center and legal editor of the “More Perfect” podcast on the Supreme Court for Radiolab. Elie Mystal is also an outspoken supporter of civil rights, abortion rights, and legal rights and protections for LGBTQ-plus individuals. And he’s author of a great book, the New York Times bestseller: “Allow Me to Retort: A Black Guy's Guide to the Constitution.” He recently spoke at FFRF’s national convention where he received our “Clarence Darrow” award.
